About Gathered Waters Medicine
The Water
The Medicine
This Nebizon (medicine) was gathered [with consent of the Plants and the upliftment of our native relatives] , organically grown at the home I share with my Husband on the living land of the Pocumtuck & Nipmac Nations [about 20 miles from my original tribal homelands], or locally organically sourced if needed.
It is far beyond a physical herbal product or education - more-so a living offering of resilience and ancient knowing. Together, we are proclaiming, ‘we are still here’. The medicine person ways, that have long been suppressed, seen as less than and attempted to be erased completely. The way of trusting Nature and that we have everything we need. That there is medicine beneath our feet. That all life forms have their place within our web, have a family, a purpose, and a consciousness. That seeing Earth as our Mother, our provider, our sustainer, our teacher, our medicine woman, is part of our shared inheritance of incarnating on Earth. And that inheritance does not exclude anyone, it is our birth rite, and I believe our inner most knowing.
Gathered Waters Medicine is not here to bring you something in the material (although the medicine products are quite lovely) but more-so, an invitation to remember how to be aware, present, and reverent. In that Spirit, the medicine is prayed over, sung to, and guided by the 7 Sacred Directions. Nothing is harvested without the plants blessing and understanding of what the medicine will be made for.
Gathered Waters Medicine is first and foremost a child of Water. Nibi (Water) is our everything. Our giver, cleanser, protector, teacher, connector, reflector, that which whom we originated from. Our precious lifeblood that swims through every cell of our bodies are all rivers leading back to the One - that is the place from which Gathered Waters Medicine originated. We see through eyes of animacy and therefore, Gathered Waters is a living offering - in reverence to my ancestors, and all beings whom gathered by and for the water.
I write to you from the Eastern Woodlands of Turtle Island where Nibi weaved many peoples and nations together. One of these peoples being my Schagthicoke (Pishgachtigok) ancestry, who are alive as an amalgamation of many resilient peoples, including the Weantinock, Potatuck, Mahican, Tunxis, Podunk, and many others whom are known and unknown. As a result of war, disease, intentional displacement, forced erasure many Algonquin tribes merged together. Together we are the relatives who lived, loved, and stewarded the living lands of present day Massachusetts, Western Connecticut, and New York - especially in the Hudson Valley and Schaghticoke, NY. This land was originally Mahican land.
Many tribes co-existed in Schaghticoke for decades as it was a space of peace. Eventually after continued encroachment from the settlers many peoples continued to travel, some north (returning to Massachusetts), some very far west, and some south. Schaghticoke peoples eventually were “given” a 400 acre reservation in Kent, CT. This photo here is on Schaghticoke territory ~ the beautiful being that is the Housatonic River. And the other picture is me and my papa on our tribal homelands with this Nibi.
Pishgachtigok or Schaghticoke loosley translates to “people of the gathered or mingling waters” and here is where Gathered Waters Medicine was born out of. When i think about what it means for waters to gather together, it feels like coming home. It feels like connection, relationship, and a returning to the teaching and reality of the One. All rivers flowing back to the One. A merging of time, stories, memories, prayers, and energy, returning to one current.
Gathered Waters Medicine Co.
Through Gathered Waters Medicine Co; I am cultivating an Indigenous-led non-profit rooted in land-based healing, cultural reclamation, and ecological stewardship. With ceremony, education, and medicine gardens, it honors Mother Earth and all our living kin. This is both a sanctuary for Indigenous resurgence and a place for all to return to our Earth, as a call toward cultural resurgence, land rematriation, and embodied sovereignty.
It is my prayer to protect the sacredness of intergenerational health and wellness through Indigenous, Earth-based wisdom to nurture the resiliency, well-being, and Spirit of all our relations.
The cost and devotion to creating a unconventional organization like this requires much love, support, time and energy. I hopes to call on those who are willing and able to support this project by offering donations that go strictly to the fees/costs associated with running the GWM. You may donate here.

We deeply believe in equal and fair accessibility to holistic wellness for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize that certain communities, such as the BIPOC community, have historically faced systemic barriers and injustices that have limited, and in many cases, completely severed their access to healing resources. In alignment with our values, we vow to bring light to these inequities by offering a pay-from-your heart scale (no one will ever be turned away) and creating inclusive spaces (such as the BIPOC Wellness Circles) where this community can steep into a warm, safe, welcoming, and supported space. Guided by the medicine woman ways, we care about creating opportunities for individuals in need of access to our services, ensuring that healing and well-being are in no way a privilege reserved for a few, but accessible to all who seek them. Our devotion to sincerely support the healing of the equal and fair accessibility wound, is rooted in the principles of unity. That what one side of the web does, effects the other, that we must heal as a collective. If you are seeking the pay-from-your heart option please email hello@gatheredwaters.earth
The Creator
Kwai! I am Jesse Rose (she/they). I walk with the wisdom of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, as well as my Italian and Hungarian ancestors. Gathered Waters was born through my own healing journey which led me to the Medicine Woman Way. Living with Chiari malformation, a rare structural formation of my skull bones, has transformed my understanding of healing and resilience, teaching me that pain can be a profound gateway to Spirit. It is my prayer that my experience can be of service to all, especially to those navigating chronic conditions or injuries (whether that on the physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual level).
My work braids together herbalism, sacred movement, flower essence therapy, sound, and ceremony. I hold space for both personal and collective healing, rooted in the awareness that connection to Earth, body, and Spirit is a path to cultural and spiritual survival. Through a degree in Health & Human Movement (exercise science), herbalism, holistic-health coaching, Medicine Woman Ways, Yoga, sound healing, and Animal Flow, I weave a tapestry of healing arts together.
As a medicine woman, teacher, and practitioner of land-based healing , I offer 1-1 healing sessions, workshops, ceremonies and intentional gatherings from my heart to yours.
